We are currently recruiting for the position of Senior Marketing Manager

Experience Length: 5 years
Purpose of the Position:
To deliver the DStv marketing plan in Nigeria in order to increase the DStv market share
Strategy and Execution
Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
Align business and brand objectives to increase awareness, consideration, purchase, and brand loyalty.
Establish brands’ annual objectives, strategies, positioning, tactics, and measures.
Create awareness and understanding of Multichoice (product) brand identity
Managed a “Brand Visibility Program’; improving the visibility of the brand at various touchpoints
Manage ad agency performance including briefing, developing DStv Roadmap and overseeing national and strategic brand campaigns
Redefine promotional activity including BTL and channel-specific marketing across all channels in Nigeria
Evaluate market trends to address business opportunities and issues
Propose, formulate, develop, initiate and brief in relevant, suitable and cost-effective Marketing Initiatives (advertising, sponsorships, events, brand activations, promotions, etc) that contribute to creating and growing Awareness, Demand and Equity for Multichoice brands within Nigeria.
Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
Tracks and analyses brand/product performance and trends in terms of volume and profitability.
Administers tactical programs of the assigned brand/product line and plans assists in the development of MCN product.
Develop an understanding of all elements of our business – Value chain, distribution, etc – to create long-term barriers-to-entry against competitors in a highly-competitive marketplace
Lead marketing launch plans for a variety of products
Lead development of creative briefs
Build new businesses, great products, and the iconic brand
Constantly monitors the performance of managed brands/products to ensure it meets company objectives.
Relationship and Service Support:
Leverage external networks to identify optimization opportunities
Leverage internal networks to identify optimization opportunities
Create and manage working relationships with ATL & BTL Agencies, Media Houses, Super Dealers, Authorized Distributors, and Accredited Retailers with a view to when necessary leverage the relationships to achieve MCN business goals and objectives.
Analyze potential partner relationships for the product.
Maintains close contact with sales and distribution functions to sense check business conditions and trends.
Marketing Budget Management:
Manage annual Marketing (Brand) budget and forecast exercises
Rigorously monitor Marketing performance against approved budgets and put measures in place to address variances. Continuously identify areas for improved efficiency
Responsible for team strength & performance level (attraction, selection, retention & development of Marketing team)
Ensure alignment with Team strength, performance, and energy matched strategic requirements – under performers identified, improved or removed
Ensure direct reports live Company ethics;
Departmental goals understood and actively pursued by the team; work accountability clearly delegate
Performance reviews are done regularly, everyone has a clear picture of current performance, recognitions are given where it is due and low performers are acted upon
Coaching & Mentoring
A minimum of 8 years in commerce, business administration or sales and marketing leadership role
5 years of management experience
Detailed commercial and financial acumen, balanced with creative flair
