Job Description
He/She will develop better farming practices and find effective solutions for H O CORN. Principal Responsibilities
Assist in collating, managing and analyzing qualitative and quantitative agricultural data, as well as report on findings from monitoring activities.
Provide on the job training and mentoring on data reporting
Support Head, Agriculture as well as other staff on other capacity-building activities.
Work closely with H O CORN assigned team to ensure activities are implemented according to standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
Work with hand in hand with the program team to ensure that information relating to program activities is shared within and in line with the organization guidelines and frameworks
Provide day-to-day operational and management support to all H O CORN FARMING ACTIVITIES.
Provide other cross-cutting support when the needs arise.
Support the implementation of agronomy management workstreams by coordinating agronomy services management managers, supervisors and extension field agents’ roles to ensure effective and efficient implementation, ensure that deliverable is of good quality and on-time.
Establish agent and supervisor visit schedule and implement, Provide training and coaching on agronomy services management to supervisors and agents as needed, • Assisting with the plant selection process and the development of planting and irrigation schedules, budgets, and timelines.
Generating reports and presenting findings to management, clients, or other interested parties.
Minimum of a B.Sc / BA / HND in Agriculture, Agronomy or related fields
Minimum of two 2 years working experience in Agric-related industry/growing sweet corn/Corn
Have good knowledge in managing field crops in particular key commodity staple crops cultivated in Nigeria
Demonstrates knowledge in resource utilization
Results orientation
Analytical thinking and Maize farming.
Applications of tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Excellent communication skills
Analytic orientation with strong accuracy skills
Ability to utilize sound judgment and
problem-solving skills
Demonstrates knowledge in strategic management and planning Culture Traits:
